Yoga Pants?

I've never tried yoga pants before (quit laughing; I'm serious!), and I'm starting to think I'm a tad old-fashioned for not having ever worn them before, because all the younger nurses are wearing them! So, all you girls in yoga pants, can you explain to my wheezy old brain: What's so good about yoga pants? Is there anything that makes them better than regular (not yoga) scrub pants?

I like the waist band on the yoga pant scrubs, I don't find myself having to constantly pull them up or tighten them throughout the day.

You mean the yoga-style scrubs, right? Actual yoga pants never have pockets - what a nightmare! The yoga-style scrubs usually have minimal pockets anyways (and I'm a fan of having approximately 103,824,954 pockets myself) so I don't go for them....but I can see how the wide elastic waistband would be nice.

I might go for a pair though, if I could find some that fit me - I'm 5'1", 115 lbs, and every yoga-style I've tried trails the ground for me - even the petite fit. As a shrimp, I can't really pull off the "willowy" look, so they aren't exactly flattering, even though I'm not large. But they do look nice, sleek, and tailored on a lot of nurses I know. Just one of those looks thats not for me, I guess.
