write up and future job

Hello fellow nurses ! I got write up a month ago because of an elopement situation. Thankfully the patient was found alive. the thing is this is my first job as an LPN, and when I got enough experience time and graduate from my RN program, I want to apply for a job at a hospital My concern is if I use that job as a reference, that write up being in my file, would it impede my chances of getting hired at a hospital ?

    While laws pretty much allow any information to be provided by a previous employer as long as it is factual, most employers will restrict themselves to dates of employment and eligibility for rehire. Now, if this is something that went to the BON, that's a different story.
