Is going back for a nursing degree (specifically a BSN) worth it if you're mostly interested in the public health/community health aspect of it instead of the bedside? I'm curious to hear from current nurses in either of these positions.

Sure it is, at least to me. What would define "worth it" for you?

I guess just worth it as opposed to going straight for an MPH or another higher education public health degree.
That doesn't tell me much. Are you look at pay? Job opportunities? Personal fulfillment? What, exactly, would make one worth it over the other?
yes all of those! mostly in terms of job opportunities, marketability, and career growth

If you want to become a public health nurse then yes, you should definitely get one especially one that offers that certificate.
