working and studying in canada

is there anyone who can help me decide on what to do? im a registered nurse here in the philippines. and im planning to take the nclex. just done passing the application last december. im just waiting for the reply. so now, my trouble is, considering if i pass the nclex, i dont have any guarantee that i'll be working in the US. this is also the growing problem here in the Philippines. and that sucks big time! because from what I've heard retrogression won't be lifted anytime soon. so now im thinking about going to Canada or Australia to work while studying. I'm not yet looking for an agency or something to help me with this. they said that student visa is the fastest way to get out of the country. but!!!!!! is it worth it?? will it help me to have a good and stable future ahead?

If you went to Canada on a student visa you couldn't work. Canada does require foreign nurses to meet their standards and pass their national licensing exam(CRNE) before being able to work in Canada. There are very few nursing jobs in most areas of Canada and getting work as an IEN would be next to impossible. You would also have to apply through immigration to get a work visa as well. plus most provinces in Canada are requiring BSN for licensure as an RN.
