Hello fellow nurses,

I am wondering if any of you is conversant with the processing time of the Perth Business Center, an arm of DIMIA in Western Australia processing visa applications for nurses intending to work in Perth, WA. I am a US-trained, Bachelor of Science in Nursing holder, and I have been sponsored to work at a Mental Health facility in Perth Western Australia. I subsequently applied for the work visa more than two months ago, but have not heard from DIMIA. Does anyone know the processing time for work visas, particularly for nurses intending to work in the Perth area of Western Australia? It can sometimes be frustrating when no one from DIMIA will reply emails requesting knowledge of processing times and how much longer one could wait. I will be delighted if any one could be of help in this direction, especially those going through the process now or those who have gone through the process in the past. Thank you fellow care givers for your help, and I look goward to hearing from someone.

Regards,

Pedus.

Have you had your qualifications verified by the Nursing Council in Perth or ANMC? Do you have nursing registration in Perth yet? You have not mentioned these things. Usually, if there are somethings that requires verification or if your application lacks some kind of info, the processing will be prolonged. When I last spoke to DIMIA, they stated that if everything is included in the application, processing can take a minimum of 6-8 weeks. They will send you some kind of correspondence requesting more info, if needed.
