wooohooooo!!

A little while ago I posted about breaking in to the OR and how hard it can be to change specialties and now I have 2 offers. One is where I work now, a small surgery short stay hospital, and the other is for a large level 1 trauma center who actually uses the periop 101 course!! I believe I'll go with the larger trauma center because I can get a structure course and more exposure to different types of surgeries. So I start that in mid July. I'm so excited and look forward to a job I'll actually like going to. I'm also nervous that since I've never been an OR nurse the 1st year is going to be kinda ruff. Right now I'm counting down the last days of call bells, fluffing pillows, and "is there anything else I can get for you," and looking forward to 1 patient, high tech equipment, and awesome procedures I'm still trying hard to pronounce or figure out what they are!! I can't believe I'm so blessed right now!! Somebody pinch me, or better yet, if this is a dream, just smother me in my sleep!
