Why is my school taking so long..!???!?!

I have applied at Central Arizona College in Oct. for Spr. 08 Nursing program and all I have been told since then was call back we are getting a list.. Call back were are setting up interviews for a few people. "You are second on the list, you have nothing to worry about", etc.. etc.. It is January already and letters were just sent out the week of X-mas the dean tells me.. What!?!?! Ok.. Second on the list and no letter.. Is there a mishap? Wrong mailing address? lol what happened? Top Scores on HESI, high GPA, all classes are completed except nursing core classes.. Help me?? Anyone else applies there? And if so are you going through the same thing? Or have you gotten your letter?

They say if your not in this semester and applied you will be grand-fathered in to Fall 08. Its such a mix up!!

Sorry for the venting!!

Hi Amy!

I was wondering where in CA you are and if you are already in the RN program. I am finishing up my pre reqs and then I apply end of this year. But its taking forever to get in! How about you? Have you checked other schools? private? where we can get in sooner?

I'm in Stockton, CA, south of Sacramento. I am already done with prerequisites and start NS Monday Morning at 8am wooo. I attended a Community College for ALL my prerequisites but that program picked on a lottery and I wasent chosen so I am now about to attend a costly private school. I was pretty upset over paying so much at first but the people are AWESOME and am very excited now. Where in Calif are you at? Best wishesssss..

Congrats to you! Very cool! I am in Huntington Beach. I attended Goldenwest College for a few of my classes and now am at Santa Ana Community College. I like them alot better. I was looking into Mount St Marys in L.A. private school but it is costly....so we'll see. I am going to appy every flippin where when I am done.

I have heard that students in Seattle, in WA have to do a certain amount of volunteer work, to get into the program. Have you heard of that? I havent. Not here in CA. hmm?? I am new to this whole allnurses.com thing so if I dont answer right away its cause I got lost somewhere on the site! :specs:
