Which program to choose???

Please help! I already have a Bach. in Marketing, but now I would like to become a nurse. I have been doing research and I am so confused about all the different programs. There are accelerated programs, enty level masters, 2nd degree option, BSN etc... I have no idea which is the best route to take or if these are all the same... Any input would be very much appreciated. I am currently in CA

where are you from?

I am from Michigan but currently live in Orange but will relocate anywhere in orange county. I just checked out Concordia, it is the quickest program I have found (12 months) but very expensive and has more pre reqs than some of the other programs.

I'm not familiar with orange. I'm currently in San Diego, but I know a lot of friends around that area that have the same problem. Perhaps you can take some classes online, but you should check with the school if it's acceptable. Are you willing to check out schools outside of california?

Possibly, but I just moved to California a few months ago so I would have some saving up to do if I am going to move again. I just want to get licensed as quick as possible but there are so many programs I am overwhelmed.

Well I'm assuming it's going to take some time to do your prereqs. Then you can decide after finishing a couple of them if you want to apply for schools on the east coast. The ones for Hopkins, NYU, Rochester, PACE, Yale, Colorado and so on have a lot of the same prereqs as the schools in california, but they also require less. So after finishing those classes first, you can decide to apply or continue with the prereqs for california schools. That was my original plan. If you're starting your prereqs from the beginning then it's going to take at least a year so you'll still have a lot of time to spend in california before considering another move.
