I will be entering my sophomore year of undergrad studies this fall and recently decided that I want to transfer to a college that offers a BSN degree. I live in the NYC area and I am on the fence between going to LIU Brooklyn and CUNY Hunter for nursing. I am leaning towards Hunter for the lower tuition costs, but I think LIU might be a little less stressful with regards to actually being accepted into the program since the GPA requirements do not seem to be as strict (at least a C average in Science courses compared to at least a B average at Hunter).
Would anyone who attended either nursing school like to give me some insight on the level of difficulty of the programs? Do you think a BSN degree is worth the cost of a private education?
Thanks!
