Hi everyone! I have a dilemma. I'm choosing between 2 CNA programs. Both organizations are in Oakland, CA; one's called CPR for Life and the other's Lifeline Healthcare Consultant. Anyone ever heard of these? They are located in the same location (right next door to one another). Here are the 2 program descriptions:
CPR for Life: 21-day program, $750 (not including testing fee: $90), offers job positioning. However, only 2 people have signed up so far and there were only 3 people who graduated from the last session. So, not many people taking this program.
Lifeline Healthcare: 21-day program, $875 (including testing fee), and you get CPR certified. Also offers help with job placement.
And apparently, these 2 organizations have some conflict/competition going on between them. According to the lady I spoke with at Lifeline Healthcare, the person running CPR for Life was actually a former student of hers. They once worked together, but the student branched out to start her own business because "she wanted more money." I'm not sure if I should believe her; I don't want to be too naive. But it's kind of influencing me to lean toward Lifeline Healthcare. She also gave me a tour of the facility. The classroom was pretty big (could fit about 20 students) and there was a clinical lab that students can practice in.
So which program do you guys think sounds better? What other criteria should I consider besides cost and length of the program?
Sorry, long post.
