Which Accelerated BSN program is better: Stony Brook University or Drexel University?

Hey everyone,

I was recently accepted to Drexel University's Accelerated Nursing Program. After reading many mixed reviews about Drexel's program, I'm a little hesitant about going there. The program is very expensive (over $40,000 i believe) but also has a high pass rate on the NCLEX. I am from Long Island, New York so I would have to move to Philadelphia and rent an apartment.

I was also thinking about applying to Stony Brook's Accelerated BSN program. It is very competitive to get accepted into Stony Brook because everyone wants their cheap in-state tuition. I already accumulated a lot of debt from my first bachelor's degree in neuroscience so it would be nice to attend a cheap program.

My problem is that I only have 30 days left to make a deposit for Drexel's Program and the application for Stony Brook doesn't open for another 30 days. I don't want to turn down Drexel and risk not getting accepted to Stony Brook. My overall GPA is a 3.3 and I have over 100 hours of volunteer experience in the ER of a hospital, and I'm a guy.

I would appreciate any advice about both programs before I make a decision. Thanks in advance everyone!!

I know this post was a while back, but I am currently in this exact situation. I live in Suffolk County and am waiting to hear back from Stony Brook. I was accepted to Drexel in August. If you see this please tell me what you decided!!
