I've been in the nursing field for a little over 6 years. I started as an LPN and recently became an RN in Mar 2010. I've been working in LTC at the same place for 6 years. I have gotten supervisory experience and have been able to use skills I've learned since becoming an RN. I'm ready for something new but not sure where to go. I know I need to get hospital experience but I'm not thrilled about working in the hospital, that has never really been a goal of mine. The more I think about it the more I'm realizing I don't really want to to do bedside nursing. I can't tell if it's because I'm tired of where I currently work and am tired of seeing those walls or if I'm just burned out from dealing with patients and their FAMILY. My experience is limited obviously so I'm looking for suggestions from fellow nurses. Thanks for the input!

What do you want to do? If you don't want to work in a hospital, there are other options. Imagine yourself doing your dream job and go for it.
