Where do I go from here?

I'm completing my final class to satisfy educational deficits in my transcripts from California to Tennessee. I've been a registered nurse for over 10 years in California and since moving here to TN have only worked travel assignments back to California while completing this classwork.

I miss working and anywhere I have applied I have not gotten past the interview phase. I've applied at retail, food service, I'll clean hotel rooms at this point just to have a job but I am "overqualified". I seem to have painted myself into a hole.

I have looked into working in housekeeping at my local hospitals and LTC facilities and have literally been laughed out of the HR department. It will be Spring before I have my RN license here and I'm tired of flying and living in hotels just to work a few shifts. What are my options? Where can I work? I've tried temp agencies and they want a temp to permanent hire situation.

My state BRN is no help, I have been begging for a meeting to ask them exactely what capacity I can work in when it comes to health care. This is so frustrating and my ego is taking a huge hit. I'm used to being productive. It's very sad.
