Where to go from here.

I am supposed to graduate August 4th in the ADN program. I have been planning to go forward with my education. I am 33, with two children, house, husband, etc. This semester has proven to be so hard and I am so burned out. My studying is so ineffective this semester and my test grades are not great at all (I entered the nursing program with a 3.8 GPA). I have truly discovered that I LOVE the diagnostic aspect of medicine. I want to continue on and get my NP but I'm scared that I'm so tired of school and studying(I went back to school 3 years ago and have been full time since) that I would waste loan money by not making the grades. I would love to get my NP license in women's health. I actually think tonight at clinical I discovered that its not the nursing I enjoy so much (which I have really enjoyed); but the diagnostic aspect of the patient as a whole.

I understand what you are talking about. One of my former classmates actually dropped out the nursing program because she really didn't like it, she like you only liked the diagnosing part. She is now in med school. I hope you find your way...good luck:)
