Where do you belong?

As a new grad, I was just wondering what organizations/associations/societies people have joined and found useful?

I have never been much of a "joiner" and don't even belong to the ANA:imbar (yes, I know I should join!). I find that a lot of these organizations have pretty costly membership fees, and I was wondering what the advantages are, besides having it on your resume.

I was thinking of joining the American Holistic Nurses Association. Any members of this or others that would like to share the advantages of membership? Thanks!

I recommend your specialty organization representative...I am a member of AWHONN (I am an OB/GYN/newborn nurse). It does serve to keep you updated and informed regarding your practices.
