When did you take the Hesi?

The community college that I am going to told me to take the Hesi now. My university told me to wait. I only have 2 prereqs left for the CC and about 5 left for the Uni.

Why can't I take the Hesi right now as like a practice and then do it when the Uni wants me to do it? Usually you are only allowed to take the Hesi once during an application period for the Uni. So, I take it now to get a feel of it. Then, take it later for the Uni? What if I do bad on it when the Uni wants to take it, then I have to wait a whole application period to retest?

What would you do? Take it now or wait?

    If you want to take it for practice, get a book or some online practice test. That way there is no official score of you doing poorly on it, just in case.

    Most schools have different requirements. One of the schools I applied too required I only take certain portions of the HESI at DESIGNATED locations at a specific time period.

    The other school didn't even want the HESI, it required the TEAS V (which has similar enough material)

    I would wait to see what programs you are applying too, and what each one of them requires specifically.

    You can start studying and reviewing all you want right now, but I don't recommend taking the HESI until you are ready and you know what your school requires. What if the program you are trying to apply to says you can only take the HESI once?

    do they both require the same section? i didnt have to take physics or chem when i took one of my school applications.

    does the exam have to be taken in a certain time period? when i took it, there was only a 2 month window that was acceptable

    still. taking the OFFICIAL Hesi exam just for practice is something i DO NOT recommend.

    try out the practice tests / websites, that should give you an idea of where you are, and what to expect.

    then when applying to these schools, follow their guidelines in taking the ACTUAL HESI exam.
