What's with all the tests?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering why all schools don't use the same test for their entrance exams? Our community college "use" to use the NET until last month, now it's the TEAS. I've also seen HESI on this site too. Why so many? Why not stick with one? It makes it hard to apply to different colleges if you have to worry about the entrance exams. :confused:
