NICU-RN

:angryfire I have put in soo many applications to various hospitals in Dallas and Fort Worth. ( I prefer the Dallas area however) I know that I have the qualifications. I am seeking a NICU position, which I already know are hard to come by just from the amount of openings. What are you to do when no one will call you? I am thinking about just going up to the hospitals and talking with someone in HR! What are some of you guys advice?

and request to speak with the nursing recruiter...keep in mind, don't go around lunch time, too early in the a.m. or too late in the afternoon (after 3:30 or so), sometimes they make excuses not to see you during those busy times. Good Luck!

Fax your resume and a cover letter directly to the unit managers - dont wait for HR to send it to them or for them to pull it up.
In addition - keep in mind that most of the units will have just started new grads and interns in May so they may very well have all positions filled at the moment - You may need to work for an agency for a month or two to either get your foot in the door or bide time.
