What to do?!?!?

I am a brand new nurse. I graduated in august. I got a job at a long term care facility. It is a full time overnight position. I have only been there about a week and I am already thinking about getting a different job. I also just got married about a week and a half ago. Every night I go to work I get upset and cry the whole way there, because I want to be home with my new husband. He is very understanding, but it is taking an emotional toll on me. any advice????

    This is your job. The next one might not be so easy to find. Get a calendar and plan out a week off, put it on the calendar, and find out at work how much notice you need to request that week off. With something to look forward to, things should ease up. Or, if they tell you that you can't get a week off, plan your own mental health days here and there, as needed. Work out some kind of compromise with your husband for together time. He realizes what you need to do to keep your job.
