What qualifies...

as healthcare experience? or healthcare related work experience?

On some nursing program applications, there is a section asking if the applicant has completed so and so hours in a healthcare setting...

Does working as an office assistant at a holistic medical practice count for anything? Technically it's "related" but i'm wondering if applications are referring specifically to clinical experience.

    I would not say that counts, but it depends on the job. I would say healthcare experience would relate to position in which you directly provided healthcare to patients. (i.e. - CNA, MA, LPN, RN, etc.)

    I would ask the schools, I think some will think that qualifies and some won't.
