Can someone please explain to me the difference between a CNA and a Tech.
I am getting ready to start a CNA program while I wait to get in the RN program.
I know most CNA's work in LTC, however I want to work in the ER and I hear that they use Tech's instead of CNA's. How does one become a Tech?
I am really confused:stone

States vary but in AZ a CNA course is a few weeks long. I believe a tech course is 9 months long. They can remove IVs, insert and remove foleys, they just have a few more skills they can utilize.
