Nursing Students Western Governors

Published

hello,

i am a recent lvn graduate and applied to for the January class. I was wondering if anybody has completed the prelicensure nursing program or if anyone is waiting for their results??? Any information will help!!! I've been calling the counselors at WGu and nobody seems to know when they will let the students know if the got infor January or not. so am looking on here to see if anybody else has applied!!!

Any response will be helpful!!!

alex:confused:

I applied months ago and should have been able to start in July. My last call to my contact went unanswered. I am surprised that there seems to be no follow-up.

thank you caliotter for the quick reply..

they didn't send you a letter for the July class? did you apply again for the January class?

Are you located in CA?

yeah..the counselors don't seem to follow up..finally i talked to someone on friday and they said they still don't know when they will have the results..this waiting is crazy...i'm also planning on applying to the community colleges..but heard that a lot of them have a long waiting list...do you know of any other schools that accept you faster??

I am aan lvn new grad and also looking for a steady job as an lvn..it's been tough in this market these days....but my goal is RN ASAP!!!..have all my pre reqs and an AA in health science..but didn't do too good on the sciences so i have to repeat on of them again in winter..

Do you know of any programs where I can take my science class online and is accredited by the state of CA??

I know too many questions...lol...but desperate to get into an RN program..i've been waisting too many years already!!!

thank you very much for all the responses!!!!

If you have the money, the proprietary schools are supposed to be easier to deal with. West Coast University is $116,000 for a BSN from scratch. Most can't afford this. Mount St. Mary's has good programs and it is less expensive there. From what I can tell, it is difficult in all of SoCal. is about the best bet out there. University of OK has a program, but you have to already have a bachelors degree.

thank you caliotter...

WCU is out of the question...it is way too expensive..and my pre reqs are more than 5 yrs old and they want me to repeat everything again...that's crazy!!!

I will check out mt saint mary once i repeated my science class again to have a high GPA...

Did check out university of OK yeah you have to have another bachelors..

So yea I am stuck with waiting for and praying that I will get in!!!!

thank you sooo much...i'm glad to know that there is somebody else out there in the same boat like me...don't feel so alone anymore..hehehe

Another option is ISU. However, I have not seen where anyone in the area has been willing to divulge where they have contracted to do their clinical placements. places their students; well worth, the price of tuition.

IMO, I think the price is very reasonable. I would like more information on the school but the counselors are hard to get a hold of. They do phone appointments etc. I'm curious how long it will take with someone who already holds a BA degree, LVN, and sciences completed.
