Westminster

Has anyone been accepted to Westminster's Nurse Anesthesia Program for the Class of 2017? I interviewed in September and was accepted, just trying to connect with anyone else who will be attending in the Fall 2015.

Congratulations. I am also one of the lucky 18 for the class of 2017. I paid my deposit today. Where are you from? I can't wait to start. August seems so far away.

Congrats to you as well. I am from the D.C/Virginia area, how about you?

Very cool. I'm from California originally but have lived in Utah for the past 10 years. I might be able to give you a locals perspective on housing when your ready to move. If there is any way I can help let me know. Once again congrats. See you in August.

Hey hey hey! I'll be joining ya'll next year as well. I live in NC right now - can't wait for August to arrive!

I have also been accepted to the program for the 2017 graduating class. I have been wondering if there was a blog of some sort with others that have been accepted. Congrats to everyone!

Wanting to get into this program in the near future. Can you all give some suggestions on what went right for you through process and interview.

I got in too. I just found this thread. I am from Phoenix AZ. See you all in August!

Congrats AJ007! See you in August. I am from Texas.

Does anyone plan on working while they are in the program? I'm hoping that I can find some part time work at least before clinical rotations start, but the stories I've heard from other student CRNA's (from different programs not Westminster's) it seems like it will be difficult to manage school and work.

What path did you take for classes and training? I want to become a CRNA I live in Orange County Ca. I have not been able to find a program close to me.

I know this is an old post but I was wondering what you all thought of Westminster? Did anyone work while attending the CRNA program? Also, what were your college and nursing GPAs when you got accepted at Westminster? Did you have many certifications or was it just the CCRN certification?

Here are my stats. I have a BSN with a 3.23 GPA, graduated in 2011. I just completed an acute care nurse practitioner program this past may, graduated in the top 5% of the class with a 3.91 GPA top public University. I completed Advance Health Assessment (grade A) , Pathophysiology (grade A) , Pharmacology (grade A-), Statistics (A-) Research (A) I am an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. I was wondering, Will I still be required to take the GRE? Will any of the core courses already taken transfer in ? Will my Grad GPA be considered, or my undergraduate GPA? I currently work in a busy CTICU/SICU and have a little bit under a year of experience (by the start of program I will have 1 year and 6 months experience) and It states on the website that applicant with less than 1 year can apply. In addition, my clinical rotations during NP schools were in ICUs working under an ICU NPs supervision. I do have my CCRN and PCCN certifications.I am currently re-taking General chemistry general Physics and anatomy and physiology this fall semester as recommended by current anesthesia students to prepare for the program. WHat do you guys think? Am I wasting my time?
