hey everyone. im in a serious impass with my nursing career. i am not leaving... i just dont know which direction to go. i want to become an NP - but do not want to be paying it back with little change to my salary. ultimatly it will come down to money, when at some point i have to send my children to college. i am satisifed being an excellent bedside nurse, and working nights and weekends keeps me at the top of my pay grade. is there a ceiling with NP salary, what makes it vary? i know i will eventually hit a ceiling with bedside nursing, but i think i want to end up teaching, but do not want to be limited ito just teaching which is why i wouldnt get a masters to focus on nursing education...
thoughts??
