I got accepted into Nursing School! I received the call today. But! Yes, theres a but. Im placed on a waiting list. My start date will be for May 2018. My question is how can I utilize all this time of waiting?

I would just enjoy it honestly. I do not personally think it is helpful for people to "study" ahead of the program when they do not know how to use and apply the nursing process. That it my opinion, others may say differently.
I would apply to a hospital for an aid position. It will help greatly if you want to work as a nurse technician during summer breaks and when you want to apply for jobs as an RN.

Find a part-time or on-call CNA gig, preferably at a hospital. The experience, though not necessary, will really help you in lab classes and clinical rotations. Having that experience has been beneficial for me personally. Also, you'll have your foot in the door for an RN job when you graduate. I'm a CNA in a neuro-trauma ICU and have spoken with my manager about being hired on as a nurse when I graduate.

I second the getting a PRN PCT job. In my program, a lot of the work we do in clinical is PCT work. We do the baths, the vitals, the bed changes, and everything else the patient needs during our time there. I work as a PCT now and I wish I had the experience prior to beginning the program. Not only will it help you with the work, it will help you with your time management. As nursing students, we tend to go into a patients room a lot. The bed baths we do take a long time and we get nervous. By the time you start, you will be a pro at that stuff. It will also make your skills check-offs a breeze.
