Was just curious if hospitals allow volunteers to come and hold the babies? Because since I don't work due to health reasons, I get pretty bored, and I love babies! So I was just curious
I hope this is ok to ask

I would call and ask the particular hospital you are wondering about. I know at our NICU no cuddlers are allowed, because we want babies to sleep as much as they can (minimal stimulation) so they can rest and grow. I know there are other NICUs in town that do allow cuddlers though, so I think your best bet is just to call.

We just instituted a cuddler program for our withdrawl kids and these people are lifesavers! We do have to have parents permission for them to hold their babies and the cuddlers go thru a class about what they need to know. Call your local hospitals and inquire! We have 2 on our team that are previous upper administrative people from our hospital!
Ok, thank you everyone! I will call a few different hospitals around my area!
