Texas Nurses :confused:

Is there a law on giving infants vitimin K shots, at birth.

I know there is a law about erythromycin.

If not, does your hospital have a policy on what to do if mom refuses to consent to vitamin K?

Does mom have to sighn a waiver?

Not from Texas, but anytime a mother refuses eye gtts or Vit K they have to sign a waiver stating that she does not want these, after they speak to the doc about risks and benefits.
