Vit. B12 shots

Published

I would like to get my doctor to approve one for me. I have heard that they are good for people really fatigued. I work many hours and in school. Not getting enough rest. Do I have to have a serious reason to get a B12 shot? I hear they really work.

Things I have read seem to indicate that PO b12 may be as effective at treating symptomatic deficiency as IM (though the studies were small). Why get a B12 shot when you can just buy it otc in pill form and take a b-complex daily?

It sounds like you are tired due to psychosocial reasons, not B12 deficiency... I guess my point would be this: Why fix something that's not broken?

You'd be better off getting a caffiene infusion... heh!

If you're that worried you're vitamin deficient, please ask your doctor.

An injection of B12 wil not cure the fatigue associated with overwork and lack of sleep.

You can buy it over the counter in Mexico. They include the syringe.

When I take trips to Mexico, It works wonders for me, I will take a shot in the buttock to overcome fatigue from drinking.

It works for me......

Hello, PopeJane

You need to discuss this with your physician. As pointed out in posts above, B12 injections are not given for general fatigue.

See your HCP and get the advice you need from him/her.

Wishing better days ahead for you.
