I've have recently noticed I've been breaking out using vinyl gloves. Today I had rashes on my arm and my neck. I also, my tongue which was itchy, also my lips tingly. My chest was tight as well. Is this like an allergy like latex may have?

Vinyl and nitrile gloves, as well as the powder that sometimes comes in them, can trigger contact dermatitis or other irritant reactions but they can't cause an anaphylactic allergic reaction, latex can cause anaphylaxis but that's because it's made of natural proteins which present antigens that trigger an allergic reaction. Since it's probably not vinyl that's causing your chest tightness you should probably see your doctor about that.
I will go to my doctor this week, the tightness of my chest was just nerves. When I used nitrile glove I don't have a problem. It maybe the soap that they clean my jackets with. I already know I'm allergic to shellfish and kiwi.
A kiwi allergy makes it more likely you have a latex allergy since the antigens of both are almost identical, you might make sure there isn't any latex in your work environment.

Hey there, just wondering if you ever found out more about this? My new job uses vinyl gloves (PVC) and I am getting bad skin reactions from them! Did this problem ever go away for you?
