VetPro process in the VA

Hello,

I was given a conditional offer with salary quote yesterday. The nurse recruiter stated that I would get a link emailed to me so I can get vetpro started. How long did it take you guys to get set up with vetpro?

Thanks!

There are two credential verification / background check verification systems used by VA: eQuip and VetPro. One you will receive a link to via email and you complete at home, the other you complete in the presence of the credentialing officer at the VA processing you.

How long you take to do the at-home portion is obviously up to you; it will not be complete until everyone whose name you submitted responds as directed. It's a good idea to clue in those you intend to list so they can be on the lookout for the paperwork (which will arrive via snail mail).

The portion done at the VA itself takes about the same amount of time, except that you will have to come in for a scheduled appointment, so therefore it "takes" a bit longer. How long anyone's paperwork takes to clear depends on the VA handling it and the applicant in question :)

Good luck!

I guess every process is different. I got an offer and no word on salary or start date. When I meet w the recruiter, she did VETPRO while I sat next to her on the computer. She said I will get info on equip.

My physical isn't scheduled for 2 wks. I'm hoping to hear more by then...hopefully

Process is the same in this regard (see above). You shouldn't expect to hear anything regarding salary --or a start date-- until your physical is done and you have been cleared by employee health. If you don't pass the physical, they won't be held to a salary offer (as your offer is contingent upon satisfactorily passing the physical along with everything else).

Good luck!
