Versant Program

Hi there. I was wondering if anyone has been a part of teh Versant program for RN residency. I will be starting that program in August and wanted to know what people thought of it who have been in it or if anyone else will be starting this program. Thanks.

I asked this question recently myself and got no response. Past questions from others didn't fare much better. Surely there must be people who've experienced Versant, right?

I have never gone through the program. But, I can tell you what I know. New grads at my hospital are using the versant program. In general, I have heard positive things about it from them. With the program they spend one day a week in classes. For some, that has been frustrating, since they have been in school for so long and they just want to start working. But, it sounds like a good idea to me. They have the opportunity to slowly get used to working, and there is someone there helping them with the adjustment from student nurse to RN. The orientation is longer with the versant program. But, you get paid while in orientation, so take advantage of the class time while you can. good luck with your new career!
