Vanderbilt's Nurse Residency Program

Does anyone have any advice on how to make a strong letter of intent for Vanderbilt's Nurse residency program? I know they accept a lot of applicants for each cohort but I'm not sure how many people actually apply and how competetive it actually is. If there is anyone on here that is currently in the program, was previously or knows anyone who has gone through the program, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know there is a lot of confusion about when we are supposed to hear from them. I do recall hearing early April when I was actually at the interview. Hopefully I heard right. The wait is difficult. I know we are all waiting on something that will surely change our lives.

Have you all taken your boards yet? I am studying for them now trying to keep mind off of this wait.

I applied for the Adult Track as well (Medical was my first choice). I have not heard anything yet, hopefully soon!

I received an email today that I am on the alternate list. They will contact the alternates by April 15th if there are any openings left. I was in the Adult Med Surge Track. Good Luck to all!

I got accepted into the critical care track and I'm really excited! I was kind of assuming I wouldn't get an offer since the program is so competitive and now I have a HUGE decision to make! I'm currently living in Pennsylvania so it would be quite a move for me. Now that the possibility is there I have a lot to think about before April 14th!

I got my acceptance email too! I am so excited. I got into the Adult Track - so either medical or surgical!

Either is just fine by me! Congrats to all of you too!
