Valencia 2018 Evenings/weekends program

Published

Hello,

I am finishing my nursing pre-req classes this semester - woohoo! My plan is to apply to Valencia's traditional RN program the day grades are posted in hopes to get into the Fall (or Spring 2019) program (not sure how quickly the semesters are now). Does anyone know when the Fall Orientation would be? I want to be sure not to plan any traveling over that date.

I also have noticed that Valencia now has the traditional RN program offered for evenings/weekends in addition to the daytime program. Does anyone know what the schedule is and what campus it will be offered on?

Thanks!

I tried calling the other day, and they wouldn't disclose that information. Not sure why it's so top secret. The timeframes the evening classes are offered really help in deciding which program you choose to apply for. If you find out, please let me know. I'm hoping to apply for summer term.

That is interesting - I wonder if you can apply for both day/evening and then choose once a seat is offered - assuming more details would be given at that time. I agree the times and the campus where it's offered would be very helpful. I assume this means they are accepting more to the program which makes it more likely that we will get in the semester we apply for. I'll post if I find out anything. I hope to meet with a nursing advisor in the next couple of weeks so maybe I'll have more info at that time. Good luck!

Did you get in for Summer? I saw the schedule showed the evening times from 6p-9p two nights a week, 6p-10p one night a week, and all day on Fridays or Saturdays. It only showed classes on West campus. My advisor wasn't sure if they were opening for Osceola (where I'd like to be).

What did your counselor say about applying to both evening and daytime program? Assuming that you met up with one. I'm not sure that you did or not

I did meet up with an advisor-she did not know so she told me to reach out to the Health Sciences department and ask. I didn't follow up-I just applied to both.

I emailed my advisor and she said that we could submit applications to both programs and when the time comes, we will receive an email advising which program we want to pursue so that's good news!
