Congrats to your acceptance, once you are done with orientation buy your books and when you have access to blackboard you will be printing out a lot of papers and it will never end. Start investing in good printer ink and paper. Start looking at craigslist to buy the davis success book or if you know someone that can loan/sell you books for cheap. Best of luck, you will do well.

I start in fall 2015! What is the Davis book? I heard that you have to have all white shoes, stethoscope and watch I already bought those and I signed up for the CPR/BLS class there is one next Saturday the 6th, you sign up through Valencia west campus. I emailed to see if we should go ahead and submit the background check but still no response :/ Only 51 more days till orientation!

I will be starting in the fall also. I got my acceptance email a few weeks ago. I wish orientation was sooner so we can get a head start on the things we need to get done.
I already have a CPR/BLS certification, hopefully they accept that one. Thanks for the info. I just got an email saying more details will follow mid-June before the orientation.
Thank you for the info. What is the Davis Success book

Congrats. I heard they have a good program. My neighbor graduated & passed NCLEX the 1st time.
I'm so anxious I wish we would get more info regarding compliance issues (physical, immunizations, etc). The wait is killing me
I just got an email from Celena with a whole bunch of papers to print out about compliance and orientation. Looks like they want everything to be done by August 1st:eek: There is a lot of paper work your Doctor has to sign off on. It included directions for back ground check as well. Won't be long now!! So excited to start!
you need hep b series - 3 shots, MMR, Varicella, TDAP, FLU then it says HEP B, rubella, rubeola, varicella titer and PPD centra care is offering all those at discounted rates (which isn't much of a discount in my opinion!) and they will be at orientation as well. Orientation is from 10-12 the 17th and they will have vendors there following to set us up with our polos and the FIT respirator mask. Make sure if your using fin aid you get it squared away now. As long as it says nursing pending financial aid doesn't see that as an eligible program. She said it would take 3-5 to process that change.
