I applied. That sucks if it's true about no interviews. Happy to see that the Conway Scholarship program was renewed with more funding, though.

For sure, I hope more people chime in. This is my first time applying! My background is in public health/perinatal quality collaboratives. I am also working part time at a hospital as a CNA and I have about 3 years of experience as a CNA. I recently graduated from a 4-year institution with a BS in bio and a 3.96 GPA. I’m very interested in midwifery and peds. What about you?

That’s awesome! You seem like a great candidate. Do you enjoy working as a CNA? I am working in public health currently as well. I am a military officer also. I specialize in medical/healthcare operations. Professionally I’ve done a little bit of everything haha. I’ve been a police officer, retail manager, and recently public health supervisor. I’m interested in mental health and acute care.

Hey guys.I applied this year too ??.I have a background in lab science and certification EMT.I am so glad you started this trend.I didn’t know there wasn’t an interview this year.so will they just post acceptance decision later in December then?

Hey Guys! Thanks for starting this thread and relaying that information. I applied this year too! Im also an EMT and worked for the DOD before deciding to switch to become a nurse.

@ftrnursniq3 Just curious, where did you find the information that they aren't conducting interviews? I was told that they are doing interviews this cycle.

@dfn111 To answer your question, I actually received some seemingly conflicting information regarding the interview. I saw the application deadline was extended until 10OCT. I asked if that would determine when we would get interview invitations. I was told over the phone they actually weren’t conducting interviews this cycle, and hoped to have decisions out by late NOV/first week of DEC. However through email, another person mentioned having the “first round” go out in late NOV. I’m not sure if the first round is in reference to invitations or admission decisions.

@ftrnursniq3 That's great information. Thanks for letting us know. I was confused by your initial post because when I submitted my application, I had a member of admissions call me to let me know that interviews would be conducted in December. However, this was towards the end of September so I am unsure if this information is still accurate in light of the details you provided. Nevertheless, I hope they do interviews to help our chances.

I've heard amazing things about this program from prior students so I am hopeful to hear good news soon! December seems so far away.

Here’s hoping they’ll actually give interviews. As for other applications, I’ve applied to Emory & Penn. Got into Emory, still waiting to hear from Penn. I’m also going to apply to VCU’s ABSN.

Of course! It is definitely not my intention to spread misinformation or anything. I hope to simply provide any information I have that might be helpful.

I only applied to UVA as it is my dream school. I know this sounds cliché, but a team of cardiologists from UVA saved my life when I was an infant by correcting my VSD. I’d be honored to attend. But yes, December seems like an eternity from now LOL. Hopefully the time goes by quickly.
