UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

Congratulations Jeni_Pat on your interview! !!

Thank you.

From what I have read in the previous threads, the change in "to-do" list after the interview is a GOOD NEWS!

Thank you.

The change is just dependant on whether you have anything left to do, as mine has said nothing in the to do list since receiving my mystar as i had nothing left to send utmb, shouldnt change until after you have been accepted from what i know as my mystar has not changed even after having an interview.

My heart dropped when I received the email because I thought it was a rejection email, lol.

Good luck to everyone!!

Haha mine did too! Still over here waiting!

I'm still here! Because I had no prereqs left and had done, my transcripts had all been sent and verified, that meant there was nothing to change on mine. However, most people last round did notice a change right before they were accepted (usually within a week of an acceptance email being sent).

My two cents on the mystar "to do list"... In past groups, it appears that for those who have remaining prereqs, those classes are often listed on the "to do list" sometime after the interview and a few days (up to a week) before receiving an acceptance notification. I believe it mainly shows your application being processed to another level. I wouldn't take it to mean a guaranteed acceptance, but it does seem as if it is a good sign as many who have noticed it go on to receive an acceptance notification soon after.

What about those students that did not have anything on their to-do list to start with because all pre-reqs have been finished? Are we just not going to see any difference on out mystar?

I'm not entirely sure as I have only read about the remaining pre-reqs showing up. However, when accepted, your mystar will say so. Many have posted that they saw their acceptance on mystar prior to receiving their email notification (same day, though). Your to-do list will change to items such as background check, immunizations, etc.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully they give us an update soon! I feel like a spaz checking my email every 10 minutes haha.

Definitely not the only one who refreshes their email its only been a week since the interview should expect something before the summer deadline on the 15th of August

Sorry if this question has been asked before but are interviews being sent out to those who sent their app first? From what I'm reading it feels like everyone who sent in their app before the deadline has been getting interviews as opposed to someone who sent it in last minute
