Hi everyone! I’m applying for the BSN program at UT Tyler for Fall 2020. I have seen only a few posts about this school and wanted to see if anyone was applying and what your stats were. Good luck!

Hi I am applying for Fall 2020

My nursing GPA is a 3.7

My TEAS score right now is a 73 but I hopefully I can retake it after this whole corona virus thing is over.

My total points right now assuming get all the points for the video is 83 points

Which campus are you applying for?

Your stats are really good! I have a 3.5 GPA but I’m in micro right now and shooting for an A. I haven’t taken my TEAS yet because of the virus. I had one scheduled for this month and it was cancelled. I’m not sure what I can do since they are still requiring it. Have you heard of any other places having the test still?

I'm applying for Fall 2020. So far I have been waitlisted at UTMB and TXST so I guess we will see. Anyone else signed up for patho online at UTT this Summer??

Hey yall! I'm applying for Fall 2020 as well at the Tyler campus. But does anyone happen to know if we don't get into our first choice campus, could we still be considered for our 2nd choice campus? And how hard is it to get into UT Tylers nursing school for the most part?

I have a 3.5 nursing pre-req GPA and my TEAS is an 84.7, but I don’t know how many points I have because my advisor still hasn’t sent me my degree plan LOL.

Also do yall know if you get “penalized” if you don’t start the castlebranch stuff until you know if you’re accepted? Because I dont wanna pay $100+ and not get accepted, especially bc I have all my immunizations and titers and stuff so it’d literally take me a day to get everything in.

My advisor said we get only one choice, no back up location. I hear it’s very competitive, but your GPA and TEAS are good!

With castle branch, my advisor told me I had to get it done before applying. She told me to do everything on it except the finger printing. But yes, if my $100 goes to waste I’m not going to be happy LOL!

Oh WOW!, my advisor said it didn’t have to be finished before applying but to get started because it takes time to finish. I’ll definitely be upset if that $100 goes to waste too LOL. If you have started on it, do you happen to know about the process for the drug test? Like if it gives you a specific date you have to do it? I ask because I work a lot and don’t wanna mess myself up and not be able to make the date.

Yeah iv been wondering about the castlebranch too.. my advisor said it doesn't have to be done until June.

Yeah the Castle Branch stuff isn't due until June they just want us to get a head start because it takes a while to complete it

The drug testing you schedule through castle branch and pick your own appointment through the website. I’m really sad I paid for all that and it’s not due until June LOL. My advisor was really pushy about it being “completed” before May 1st ugh!
Since my TEAS was cancelled in April I still haven’t found a location offering it before the deadline.
