UT Austin BSN 2019

Published

I was wondering if anyone had heard back from UT Austin on their portal yet. I am an external transfer for Fall 2019 and my application says it is still being reviewed.

I’m an external transfer also and my portal says the same, their website said we can expect decisions generally on or before June 15, so hopefully today or tomorrow?

I called them and they said 5pm today

I know this is from a year ago, but I don't see a thread for 2020. Did you get in? I just finished my freshman year at UT and I applied to internally transfer. My UT GPA is about a 3.62 and my science GPA is around a 3.1. (I made a C+ in chem 1 my first semester, passed p/f chem 2 this semester thanks to COVID, and made an A in bio this semester.) I made a 3.25 GPA last semester and a 4.0 this semester.

I know I should have a higher sGPA, but I'm hoping it shows growth? I really don't know if I should get my hopes up or not. I find out in about three weeks if I got in. Do you know if they consider an upward trend? Also do you know what the acceptance rate is/how many people apply? I've looked everywhere online and all I found was a reddit comment saying about 5 in every 800 transfer applicants are accepted.

I actually have a 3.44 sGPA because I made an A in statistics also. Do you think they would be okay with me having a lower sGPA as long as it demonstrated growth? (2.33 >> 3.44)
