Along with taking a CDI course/getting a CCS certification, would inpatient UR be a doable path to CDI?
I am really interested in CDI but don't have any med surg experience, although I've been a nurse for over 10 years. My experience is in psych (inpatient, community, case management), clinic (primary care/internal med, some urgent care and rheumatology, case management), and community case management.
At this point in my career I would really prefer not to be starting from scratch with med surg, but don't know if this is realistic.
Thanks in advance
