I went through the training for a CNA but when I got to the state test I failed but I went through training got my certificate for Clinicals and Written I had a Brain Anyerizim at the time I was going to take state again so do I have to Start all over again?? I am Intrested in going back into being a CNA I need to know what to do thankx??

It depends on how long it has been since you did your training. Check into your state laws to see what they require. When I did my CNA training I had 90 days in which I needed to do my testing, although that had to do more I believe with my work place. It was when some of the SNF here where still able to do CNA training at the facility. Get in contact with the place that you did your training through, they should have the answer.

I have my Certificate I finished Clinicals and my Written test 2008? I'm sure i'll have to do over i'll call them thank you Barb-H

If you did your classes in 2008 and either never tested or never passed the state test and haven't taken another CNA training class it is likely you will have to start from square one which is taking the classes again.

If you passed the state test in 2008 but haven't worked as a CNA for at least 8 hours in the past 2 yrs, you must go back to square one.

It doesn't matter that you have a certificate that says you passed clinicals.....it is the state test, BOTH written AND skills, that you have to pass in order to be certified.
