Unit Shift Manager/Charge

What are they SUPPOSED to be doing at night, if they NEVER take patients, make rounds, pass meds, answer call lights, help with patients, seldom move from the desk except to go get food, etc.???

What do yours do? What has happened to utilization of available hands?

Where are people's consciences?

What is the typical job description these days of this position on nights?

I am just so disappointed lately in what I am seeing.

Others who are good workers have complained about getting bad evaluations from this USM/Charge!!! How is this all possible????
