UNC ABSN Program

Hi everyone!

I've thought about applying to UNC ABSN program next year. I wanted to see if anyone who had been in the program had any feedback about working while doing it. Is it set up where one could work a part time job? I can't not work and refuse to take out loans for living expenses. I've heard the program is pretty intense, so just wondering if this would be even doable? Thanks for the input!

Hey, JordanLeigh,

Did you end up applying for the ABSN program for this year? From what I've read, working a part time job would be really difficult. I also applied if you did, there is another thread on this website under the tag "UNC ABSN 2015" if you're interested in getting input from others who are applying to the program!

I did not apply. If I apply it will be for the May 2015 cohort or January 2016 one. I still have some pre-requisites to do and need toget some debt paid off, too. Im thinking thought the adn might be the best route for me since its cheaper. Im still debating.

Good luck to you. Nursing path is very competitive....
