UMB Fall 2011-Registration for BSN Program

Has anyone who is entering UMB's Fall 2011 BSN program received their registration packet in the mail as of yet? I attended the Welcome Picnic at UMB on 6/9 and my understanding at that time was that we could expect to receive the packets about two weeks after the picnic.

I called the admissions office and left a VMM, but as of yet have received no response. Have any students contacted the admissions office to find out when we can expect to receive the packets?

Thanks!

Edit: Please disregard my post...I just found out that an email with registration instructions will be sent out prior to the end of next week (7/8).

Have you received the e-mail about registration yet? I haven't.

No...I haven't received anything as of yet. A friend called the SON last week and was told that an email with registration instructions would would be sent out on 7/10 (yesterday). I am going down to campus tomorrow and will endeavor to find out when we can expect to be able to register for classes.

Hmmm....I have my UMB account set up, but it won't let me register for classes when I went to the link you provided. I have all my transcripts and immunizations updated; the only thing I am lacking is my CPR certification, which I take at the end of the month. I guess I better make some calls.

The Welcome Picnic was okay...more of a social mixer than anything else; you didn't miss anything that won't be covered during orientation.

You also need to complete the Approval to Register Form. You do not need to have the advisor sign for this first semester.

Thanks for the link! I went in and completed the interactive form and emailed to OSAS. Hopefully, I will be able to register on SURFS tomorrow once the hold is removed. This is a weird system; per SURFS I am recognized as a student and have no holds that would prevent me from registering.

I experienced the same. I had to call and they told me about the Approval To Register Form.

I was on campus today visiting a friend of mine, so I ended up registering for classes on-site. Got to sit in on a lecture as well and tour the facilities.

I was thinking about stopping by he campus for a tour. Did someone give you a tour or did you just walk around?

No...a friend of mine is in the CNL program and she walked us around campus. If you are going to stop by the school I would recommend that you go to OneCard Services (think that is the name of the office) and get your student ID card. All you need is your drivers license. Better to get it now than wait until orientation and wait in line with all of your other classmates.
