UMass Boston Spring 2020

Hello everyone! I take the TEAS tomorrow in the hopes of being accepted for the Spring 2020 cohort. Is anyone else on here applying as well? I am applying as a transfer student from San Diego, CA.

Hi! That is awesome. Good luck! I called today and they said 3-4 weeks until we should receive a decision. I received an 84.7 on my TEAS, so I'm hoping that is considered competitive here.

Thats awesome, good luck to you too! We should be hearing back around thanksgiving time then? Did you take any pre-reqs?

Yes that sounds right! I did take a lot of pre reqs (anatomy, physio, micro, etc). The only ones I am missing from their suggested list are the nutrition and the human growth that they recommend. What about you?

I did all the pre-reqs expect chemistry!

Awesome! I saw on another post that you said you weren't accepted before. May I ask what steps you took since then to become a better applicant?

My teas scores weren't strong enough the first time around, so I really studied hard and took the TEAs a second time and ended up getting way better results, Im hoping for the best. Hope we both get in!!

I hope we do too! How did you do this time around?

I ended up getting a 76 second time around

I already go to UMB but I just applied to transfer for Spring 2020 as well. I’m nervous about my results but I got a 85% on the TEAS so I think that’s pretty good. I have a 3.4 GPA which isn’t as competitive as others but I’m hoping my TEAS score will balance everything out.

There you go! That is a great TEAS score. I am so antsy waiting for the admission status to update. I wonder if since you already go to UMB if that helps you too. I am coming from California, with a 4.0 GPA, 84.7 TEAS, and I am a veteran. I am hoping to be accepted since I only applied to this program. Ballsy, but we will see!

I didn't go here, I graduated from nursing school in may 2019. But, I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck in getting into nursing school & when you do, best of luck in your future endeavors ?.
