UF BSN to DNP Fall 2019

Hi everyone! I’m surprised a thread hasn’t already been posted yet. Is anyone else applying to UF’s DNP program? ?

I submitted my application last week. It sounds like we will have about a 2 month wait before we hear anything. Good luck!!

I'm applying to the primary care pediatric part-time track! I heard decisions come out sometime in the middle of May. Good luck everyone!

I applied to the full time Family track! I’m hoping we get our decisions in April. I know last years class recieved them at the end of April so fingers crossed we can get them around the same time or an earlier date :) Does anyone know how much they take into consideration GRE scores? Based on last years forums and people I know, I’ve seen people get accepted without meeting the minimum. I was shy a few points on one section but hope being a UF alum, my nursing experience, and personal statement will perk up my application.

Also, good luck guys!! I hope we can be future classmates!

Autumn, I've heard the same thing about scores. I was off by one point on the Verbal. I hope it's good enough!

I also applied to the FNP track full-time. Fingers crossed!

The graduate advisor has told people that meeting the minimum will make our application the most attractive/competitive. Based on last years forums, there were people who had the minimum GRE scores/ UF nursing alums and didn’t get in. But then there were those who didn’t meet minimum GRE scores and got in. It seems like they look at the application as a whole to see if they’d be a good fit. I really feel like they take into consideration experience and the personal statement — especially since they had lots of topics they wanted us to talk about! It would make absolutely no sense to decline admission for an applicant just because they didn’t score the minimum on the GRE.

Are any of you guys from the Gainesville area?

I live in St Johns, which is just a few miles south of Jacksonville. I hope that if I am accepted into the program, I will be able to do some of the clinicals with UF Health in Jacksonville.

Hi all! I applied to the ag ACNP program full time. I work at shands so I hope to get in and do clinicals with our treatment teams. I wish we heard back sooner!!

Has anyone heard anything about acceptances? I applied to the Acute Care Pediatrics!

Decisions won't go out until the end of April or early May, but that hasn't stopped me from checking daily....just in case. I applied to the AG-ACNP program. I have five years critical care experience at Flagler, in St.Augustine and hope to do my clinicals there. I hope everyone on this forum gets into the program they want! Good luck guys!

Same lol. I’m checking my email a couple times daily hoping one is from their college of nursing.

Did you guys only apply to UF or other schools as well?

I only applied for UF, which makes the anticipation so much worse because I have no back up plan. Just banking on them and keeping my fingers crossed. ?
