Hey all you guys going to UAB in the fall, Have you gotten any info other than your "congrats-your-in" letter? I haven't heard anything else and I was just wondering if any of you had...

thanks,

Kacie

The only other thing I have recieved is from the graduate school also accepting me as a student, as well as my blazer number... outside of that i haven't heard anything from the school of anesthesia...

i'm sure both of you are much farther along in school than i am, but i think they are sending a lot more stuff in april.

i've gotten an acceptance letter and an award letter, and some information about new student orientation/registration. i think the school wide registration is the second weekend in june (my boyfriend mentioned it the other day... something about city stages being the weekend after registration)

I talked with some students attending right now and they said we would not receive or hear anything till early summer. A big packet would be sent out, with book lists and schedules. Where is everyone staying?

I am a UAB alum (BSN, MSN, DSN) and wish all of the future UAB students much success in the program. It is a top notch program, with outstanding instructors and great clinical learning sites. Enjoy your time in school, as it doesn't get better than good old UAB! :wink2:

I have been apt hunting online but probably wont go visit until early June. I haven't lived in an apartment in a while so I am looking in to houses to rent as well. I am open to suggestions from locals about where to look.

I tried to edit that last post but couldn't. I just wanted to add that I am bringing the whole family along, hence the search for a house to rent.

Probably going to be living at University place. Not luxury but not bad either. It was a hotel they converted into everything from efficiency studios to 3 bedrooms. It's right across the street from campus (big plus with B'ham traffic).

Mistyblue, you may want to try the Inverness area. It's a nice area that still has reasonably priced apartments.

Looking forward to seeing all ya'll this fall!
