Nov 19, 200916 yr Hi I was just wondering for those who were accepted to the program what their GPA was if they feel comfortable sharing and also what their HESI score was. I've been trying to get in and so far I've been unsuccessful.
Nov 19, 200916 yr I don't mind sharing, I think I was waitlisted since it took me a while to recieve my acceptance letter and email but I got into the Dallas traditional program with a 3.87 and HESI 82 composite. The best advice I can give is to make sure you find teachers with good ratings for your prerequisites because that can make all the difference in your final grade. Have you already finished all your prerequisites?
Nov 20, 200916 yr Hi I was just wondering for those who were accepted to the program what their GPA was if they feel comfortable sharing and also what their HESI score was. I've been trying to get in and so far I've been unsuccessful. There are at least two large TWU threads that contain a lot of information about people's GPAs and their testing scores. You should search for them.I was accepted for this Spring, I was very close to a 4.2 and I had an 82 on the HESI a2.Good luck!
Nov 21, 200916 yr I was accepted to TWU Dallas with a GPA of 3.811 and HESI A2 score of 89, but I declined and accepted UTA's offer. Good luck!
Nov 21, 200916 yr I'll share. I had a 4.1 (included the school's added .4 bump if you took your classes there, 3.7 without the bump) and an 89 on the Hesi.
Nov 23, 200916 yr I graduated from TWU in "78. Can one of you explain to me what the HESI is? We did not have that exam when I applied for nursing school. Thanks.
Nov 23, 200916 yr I graduated from TWU in "78. Can one of you explain to me what the HESI is? We did not have that exam when I applied for nursing school. Thanks. It's the entrance test that TWU currently uses (the previously used the NET exam). You have to make a 75 or higher to qualify for admission.
Dec 9, 200916 yr I would highly recommend Dr.*****, she's not easy but you'll learn alot. I would stay away from Dr. ****** for Chem. and I was wisely advised to take Micro at a community college.
Dec 9, 200916 yr Hmmm looks like we cant post professor's names. Let me give you some advice, go to ratemyprofessors.com and find a good teacher. It's easy, just look up what professors are available for the schools of your choice, and then find their ratings. MAKE SURE you do this for all of the classes you listed. Also, there is an excellent professor for Chemistry at Richland College. Since I can't give you her name, you will need to find her. She is from Bulgaria:)
Dec 10, 200916 yr I took Micro at TCC with Dr. M who is the dept head. I got an A. He gives lots of extra credit.
