Hello everybody!

I am wondering who has applied to the LVN program to TVCC and have gotten accepted or did not get accepted with how many points?!?I will have 5 points towards the LVN program and wondering what my rank is and what my chance is of getting accepted. I know if I do not get accepted into the LVN program I can try for the ADN program in the fall with 10 points. PLEASE respond with helpful advice!:)

Thanks!

This will be my first time applying for the TVCC LVN program with 5 pts. I'm interested to know the same .

The counselor told me I would be on the borderline of getting accepted with a 5. I really hope I get in ...I wonder how many applicants will be applying this year.

I applied as well, waiting to see what happens! Good to know im not the only one stressing

Let me know when you hear something and good luck!!

How many points did you apply with?

Six. I read that we will be notified either way by Oct 31, cant come soon enough! Where are you located?

Oh that's good! You will probably deffinitely be getting in with six points...I'm located in Garland, it's about a 40 minute drive. Where are you?

I hope we both get in! I'm in Forney, not too far at all from Kaufman. I was in the same building for my surgical tech. program so i could get there with my eyes closed ;)

Hey JenellNewsome- Did you like the Surgical Tech program with TVCC, I am considering applying but I havent gotten much feedback?

I liked the program, we had a lot of fun in class! Our class was very small, I think we started out with 12 at orientation and ended with 8 (close to that anyway). I know a few of the girls graduated with a job lined up, I decided I didn't want to continue with that field and instead pursued nursing.

Thank you for your response, I appreciate it. If you dont mind me asking, do you know the start salary/pay rate for a surgical tech in the dallas area?

No problem :) Id say the average is around 15hr to start. Not bad for a nine month program.
