hi everyone,
i am looking into possibly going into nursing school... i have a BA in psych from my previous life (before children that is!) and am trying to decide my next step. i've gone back and forth between getting my masters in psych and nursing and the nursing route is really what's calling me. i've done tons of reading on this site and some others and talked to a few friends who are nurses and all it has done so far is generate more questions yet make me want to pursue nursing more. :) what i would love to know is if there are people in the dallas/fort worth area and what they've done. is it better to finish prerequisites at a community college or do them where i'd go to school? i'm thinking of possibly trying to do the accelerated program through UTA. and can i do some of these prereqs online? i just feel rather overwhelmed with so many choices and don't really know where i should start, and can't really afford to mess it up.
thank you so much in advance for putting up with the endless questions and for your willingness to help my rather confused self! :)

I know its always cheaper to take your prereqs at a community college rather than a university. Al ot of people take prereqs at a community college and then apply to the preferred university where they want to attend nursing school. The thing is I think most universtites/colleges give their students first priority when getting accepted to nursing school.
