Hey guys. I am working on an assignment for school and would love to get some real information from practicing NP's. I would be SO appreciative if I could get some inside information.
Where do you practice? Are you in a state that requires collaboration? If so, do you feel supported by other care providers you are with?
How did you feel about your role as an APN right after graduation? Were you excited, scared, did you feel prepared? Did you feel your scope was well defined?
Same question, but think about yourself 6 months in to your new career. Did your perceptions change? Did you feel more comfortable/confident in your position?
Again, same question but answer them from the perspective of today. Do you feel comfortable in the job? Do you feel more confident with the care you provide? Do you feel your scope is more defined?
How do you see your confidence changing over the coming year? If you aren't fully comfortable yet, how long do you think it will take?
Were there any specific moments you can remember over the past year where you felt something "clicked" and you felt more comfortable or confident? Any scary moments or moments you are particularly proud of?
Seriously, thank you so much for taking the time to read this and I would love your input. Thank you!
